Wolfe Tones na Sionna GAA Club is a thriving and progressive club located in the heart of Shannon, Co. Clare. With excellent facilities and a strong community presence, we are proud of our welcoming environment and vibrant clubhouse.
The Goal Post Bar is an established hub within the local community, and we’re now looking for an experienced and dynamic Bar Manager to oversee operations and lead our fantastic team. If you have a passion for hospitality, customer service, and leadership, we’d love to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
•
Manage the day-to-day operations of The Goal Post Bar
•
Ensure the highest standards of quality control, hygiene, and health and safety
•
Control costs, minimize waste, and optimize profitability
•
Create a positive, team-oriented work environment and lead by example
•
Recruit, train, and manage part-time staff to support during peak times
•
Build and maintain strong relationships with third-party service providers and onsite staff
•
Oversee event planning and execution for bar-related functions
Requirements:
•
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar hospitality management role
•
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required
•
Proven ability to manage Profit & Loss and control costs
•
Proficient in stock management and ordering
•
Excellent customer service and communication skills
•
Strong leadership skills with experience in people and roster management
•
Experience in event planning and execution
•
Ability to maintain and develop standard operating procedures
Job Details:

Salary: Competitive (To be confirmed)

Job Type: Full-time (39-hour week)
•
Schedule: Weekend availability is essential
•
