The GAA has the largest membership of any sports organisation in Ireland. When one becomes a member of a GAA club, they become part of the GAA family and part of a great community-based organisation that continues to enhance the lives of so many people.
We are proud to have a vibrant GAA club, Wolfe Tones na Sionna, in our town which now operates under the “One Club” model and promotes equally the great sports of Hurling, Camogie, Gaelic Football and Ladies Football.
Benefits of Membership:
* Being an official member of the most famous and traditional organisation in the country and being registered officially with Croke Park.
* Members can avail of a range of many club subsidised opportunities: club gear, playing equipment, team and supporter trips, Club run GAA camps, club seasonal parties; Easter, Halloween and Christmas and numerous other social events in the Goal Post.
* Members who are involved in coaching any of our teams can avail free of charge training in GAA coaching programme through each level and First aid training.
* Members have complete use of the all-weather pitch for club activities.
* Members are encouraged to give support to our club, both financially through the membership fee but more importantly through participation in club activities.
* Members have a say through voting rights in how the club is run at the AGM.
* All members – full and social – may avail of free exercise classes which take place in our recently refurbished hall - currently Zumba and Pilates.
* Your membership fee directly funds our own Games Development officer who works tirelessly to promote our games in all the Primary schools of Shannon.

* Full members are eligible to apply for and purchase tickets through the club for Intercounty Championship games involving the Clare Hurlers and Footballers. This includes All Ireland Finals.
* For members 18 years and over, access is given to GRMA (Go Raibh Maith Agat) which is the new GAA Membership Card programme providing benefits and rewards to you, as a GAA member. Using the Card or membership number will enable GAA Members to benefit from partner discounts, special offers and earn points for going to games.
* Juvenile members learn many life skills through participating in our games – social skills, physical skills and tolerance to mention just a few – but more importantly, children and young people are afforded the opportunity to form lifelong friendships.
