Cathal McCarron is an All Ireland Winning Gaelic footballer for Tyrone (2008). He has 4 Ulster titles and numerous McKenna cups along with a league title to his name. He also has been nominated twice for an All Star during his time with Tyrone.
He played his club football with Dromore St Dympna's, and has won 3 club championships with them and 6 senior leagues. He has also played for Round Towers while in London in 2013 as well as playing for the London county team.
He is now currently playing his club football with Athy in Co Kildare. In October 2016 McCarron released his autobiography about gambling addiction. McCarron now is an active counsellor and continues to work in the Mental health world in educating and making people aware of the dangers of gambling.
